- Horn button in the center of the steering wheel, with new Fiat logo on a red background
- Front door panels in vinyl leather with fake vertical stitching (like seats), rear panels with the same design but in rigid plastic material
- New carpet floor covering and no longer rubber
- With the introduction of the tubes bumper length increased by 2970 mm at 3025 mm
- Added chrome plastic trim to the front and rear windshield surrounds
- Added chrome plastic moldings to drip rails
- Radial casing tires as standard and no longer with “4-ply” (textile) tires
- Black roof frame, black padded sun visors
- Coil on the right (like the F ’68 onwards), brake fluid reservoir turned by 90° with oblique final part
- From 1970:
- Moving the chromed license plate light holder upwards, on request steering lock with built-in ignition switch (and consequent chromed cap in place of the key switch in the center of the dashboard)
- From 1971:
- The 500L was also produced by Autobianchi (chassis numbers starting with “6”) and by Sicilfiat (chassis numbers starting with “5”)
