All Fiat 500 Classic and Fiat 126 cars, but not limited to.
Special tools needed:
– Leaf spring tensioner
Safety:
Before you begin, be aware of the risk of injury. The leaf spring is very powerful and can have very high tension. Take your time and be carefull.
Step 1: Clamp the leaf spring into the laef spring tensioner like the pictures below
Step 2: Mount the leaf spring like the pictures below, use the two U-shaped clamps (don’t forget the rubbers). Thread of the nuts is M10x1.25.
Step 3: When the leaf spring is in position, adjust the tensioner to get the holes aligned of the steering knuckle and the leaf spring. When they are aligned, put the right bolts on the holes and tighten them at the right torque. See pictures below.
After fitting the leaf spring, the wheels and steering should be realigned for correct vehicle handling.
