Types #
Fiat van der Laan sells three types of seat belts for the Fiat 500 and Fiat 126:
1: Two point
2: Three point
3: Three point with automatic retractor
How to mount #
When mounting seatbelts, you need bolts and nuts. The bolts are included in the packages. The nuts should be mounted on the car and should be UNF thread. When there are no nuts welded to the chassis, you need to buy special part BP8870 and weld this to the bottom (and maybe even drill a hole first).
Two point #
The two point seat belt can be mounted using the bolts supplied by the kit. The bolts need to be fixed in the left and right side of the chair.
Three point #
More info will follow soon…
Three point with automatic retractor #
The three-point belt with retractor must be installed so that the retractor is mounted completely horizontal (very important!). The locking/static part of the seat belts must be fitted between the front seat and the centre tunnel. The metal plate in the middle of the belts should be fitted near the B-pillar, a nut has already been welded into the chassis for this purpose. Both ends of the seatbelts should be fitted as shown in the pictures below.
