Capacitor ShackTune Competition (Original)

This is the original ShackTune Competition Condenser, not a cheap copy. The ShackTune Competition Condensers are often copied, but sadly not to the same quality.

To suit all engines running conventional points and condenser ignition, even a Fiat 500 or Fiat 126 Classic!

These condensors should be mounted directly to the coil, to avoid the extreme heat around the distributor.

The ShackTune Competition Condenser is a UK hand made part with a tolerance of +/- 2%.

Because of the tight electrical tolerance’s, your points will last many times longer.

Can be used on any road, race or rally car for peace of mind motoring. This condensor/capacitor is suitable for Austin Healey, Mini, MG, Morgan, TVR, Triumph, Jaguar as well.

Note:
The coil MUST have a primary resistance of at least 1.8 ohms (1.8 ohms or higher)! When using a coil lower than 1.8 ohm, the coil place a massive stress on the condenser and will cause the condenser to have a very short life.

Fitting instructions:

• Remove the original condensor. Points will remain connected with the original wiring.
• Mount the new condensor close to the coil.
• Connect the female lucar terminal to the negative side of the coil (negative earth vehicles).
• Connect the ring terminal to a good quality earth.
